Terms & Conditions

I confirm and accept that:

> In order to be eligible I am from the most recently graduated class of my BA or MA ie. not the current graduating class*. My course was a visual arts BA or MA based at a registered institution in the UK and my artistic practice uses photography as a central component. (* If you are a BA graduate your graduation date will most likely fall between June and September 2011 and if you are an MA graduate your graduation date will most likely be between September 2011 and May 2012. We understand that there are exceptions to these dates due to late starting courses. The important thing is that you are not currently completing your studies but completed them in the previous academic year).

> I understand that I am only permitted one individual application to FreshFaced+WildEyed for each year I am eligible, and I have not entered other work under any other name.

> The name, captions, texts and images I upload to the FreshFaced+WildEyed2012 microsite will be made accessible to a panel of judges and relevant members of Gallery staff. (My university/course details will not be made available in the judging process, the judging will take place on 9 July 2012).

> The Photographers’ Gallery will only accept work submitted through the microsite and cannot offer feedback on any individual application nor accept any submission by post or email. (If I have not been notified that my work has been selected by 16 July 2012 I will assume my application has not been successful).

> If my application is successful, my name, course details, text and selected images, will be uploaded onto the FreshFaced+WilEyed2012 online gallery and will be accessible to the public through www.thephotographersgallery.org.uk
, The Photographers’ Gallery website, and remain part of its online archive for an indefinite period. (No other personal details of mine will be made public).

> The Photographers’ Gallery reserves the right to edit extended text submitted through the application process. The Photographers’ Gallery reserves the right to select specific images for marketing, press and online exhibition purposes. Copyright for all my text and images remains with me.

> If selected, my name, course details, texts and images may be used for press and marketing purposes and other educational, non-commercial purposes. The Gallery will provide separate contract issued for press image agreement should my application be successful, and that larger digital images will also be required for press and marketing purposes but I will be contacted separately about this as required).

> If selected by the panel, my name, course details, text and photographs will be presented in the exhibition at The Photographers’ Gallery 14th Sept – 30th Sept 2012, at 16 – 18 Ramillies St, and I will loan the work, ready for installation, exhibition and de-installation (aprox dates for availability of works Monday 3rd Sept – 3rd Oct 2012).

>Transportation costs are to be discussed with the Curator, where they are considerable we will endeavour to make a contribution, if not cover them. Production costs are not as a rule covered by the Gallery, as we work on the assumption that you are showing your graduate exhibition prints. However, successful applicants are encouraged to discuss any production necessities with the Curator as the Gallery may be able to assist in some circumstances.

> I will not have any input into the curation of FreshFaced+WildEyed2012, The Photographers’ Gallery reserves the right to include any, and any number, of my images, subject to reasonable negotiation.

> The Photographers’ Gallery will endeavour to meet any specific installation requirements for my work but cannot guarantee this in every instance; The Photographers' Gallery also reserves the right to refuse to hang work that they feel has been produced to an inadequate or unprofessional standard.
